Q. What is the status of Western State University (WSU)?
A. Western State University (WSU) is a privately held for profit chartered and licensed University, charter granted by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, Government of Curacao, Kingdom of Netherlands. The Koninkrijk der Nederlanden (Kingdom of the Netherlands) is made up of 4 countries: Aruba, Curaçao, Sint Maarten and the Netherlands and citizens of Curacao are Dutch Citizens.
Q. What is the meaning of .edu.cw domain name?
A. In Curacao .edu.cw domains are allotted by the domain registrar post granting of authority to operate as a University in Curacao by the Government of Curacao. It is not commonly available to any institution and allowed to use only when University is having local presence and authority issued by the Government to operate as a University.

Q. How to travel to Curacao?
One can travel to Curaçao by air with direct flights from North America, Europe and South America, or by sea on a cruise or yacht. There is direct flight from Amsterdam.

A. Yes, you may, we evaluate applications case by case.
Q. I’m an international student and do not wish to leave work. Is online or offline study good for me?
A. Its open to you to choose, you may choose online option or discuss this with our education advisors.

Q. Do I need TOEFL or IELTS?
A. Some of the programs do not require TOEFL or IELTS and some of the programs do require TOEFL or IELTS if your mother tongue is not English. Q. Do I need to learn any language before I join ? or in other words, I’m looking for English as medium of instruction.
A. Most of our programs are in English. Some of the specialized programs can be in other foreign language. It is best to write to us at admissions@wsu.edu.cw to find out eligibility and medium of instruction.

Q. Can I stay on campus or off campus?
A. Both options are open to WSU students.
